Frequently Answered Questions

HOW ARE DIVISIONS DETERMINED?  In the spirit of being a recreational league and building friendships, NSA determines divisions by a child's grade, not birthdate.  We understand as kids get older and start playing competitively, they may not be playing with the same group of friends but we hope by then they have developed lifelong friendships.

WHERE ARE GAMES PLAYED? NSA plays their games at Tiffany Springs Park and Tiffany Hills Park.  Our basketball games are all played in the Park Hill School District.

WHO ARE THE COACHES? NSA relies on parent volunteers to coach the teams for all sports.  Any assistance you can provide is greatly appreciated.

WILL MY CHILD GET AN AWARD AT THE END OF THE SEASON? NSA provides participation medals to all participants in the Kindergarten and under divisions.  All others we award medals to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers.

WHAT DO MY FEES COVER?  NSA is not subsidized by any city or county tax.  We are fully self supportive so your fees cover the cost of the program.

IS THERE AN END OF THE SEASON TOURNAMENT?  Most sports do have an end of the season or mid season tournament to help fund our scholarship fund.  This tournament is at an additional expense to those teams choosing to participate.
